Google defines Affiliate Marketing as... "Affiliate marketing is a marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought... " However, I'm going to tell you EXACTLY what Affiliate Marketing is. Let's face it, Google isn't an professional affiliate marketer is it? So here's the definition from a guy who's on the front line of it on a daily basis...

Making Money While Scratching Your Nuts
Okay, so maybe that's a slightly humorous way of putting it, but it's essentially true. While you're sitting on your backside, scratching your nuts, you could be selling products for other people, therefore making a percentage off of the sale. While you sleep, people could be clicking on your casino affiliate links, and then making hundreds of dollars in poker rooms, which you'll get a small percentage of. Let's say, just for argument's sake, that an online casino offers you 5% of whatever your affiliates play with on their site. Now, 5% doesn't sound like that much, however, let's say you get yourself 25 people signed up via your affiliate link, and 10 of them spend $1000 per week online, that's $500 a week! Scale that up and you could be making some serious money.

That is completely up to you - It can be via ads on your website which has content on it which attracts large amount of visitors. In Affiliate Marketing, not only do you have to get people to go to the seller's website, but you also have to make sure that they purchase the product. Therefore making the seller money, and more importantly, getting you your affiliate paycheque!

That is a brief overview of what affiliate marketing is, however, I'm going to be honest, it's not quite as easy as that. You can't just make a blog, and start blogging about any random topic, and suddenly start getting monthly cheques for $20,000. If it was that easy, everyone would be doing it. Affiliate Marketing takes hours of hard, solid work. The top Affiliate Marketers can work up to 12 hours a day. However, when you look at the money they're making, they're bringing in some SERIOUS cash.

Being an Internet Marketer is some serious work! However, when you work a 16 hour day, then finally get to bed. It's completely worth it waking up to see that you've made $1,000 overnight from the previous day of work. Let's do some basic math for you. 16 hours of work, $1000. That's $62.50 per hour. I challenge you to name a handful of jobs which bring in that sort of pay without a stupidly difficult degree requirement...
