Be sure to locate the products with a “gravity” of 6 or higher. Stay away from the highly competitive products. Pick a topic like, “dog care” or “how to play guitar” Now you are going to build a content website around your affiliate product.
Research the best keywords. Look for the keywords that have high search volume and low competition. You can use the “Google Keyword Tool” to do this. I also suggest that you pick a keyword that has at least 2,000 exact match searches per month and less than 10,000 competing websites. This will make it easy to rank for your chosen keyword. Each article on your website will be written around a single keyword, so pick 3-5 key words.
Write your articles. The quality of your content is VERY important. Do not use duplicate content on your website. Each article should be around 500-750 words in length. Put your keyword in the title, once in the first paragraph, and in the main menu navigation area as a link. Now you will need to build links to your website to get it ranking well in the search engines. Use only a few methods.
Article marketing is a great way to build “do-follow” links to your website. Try to write a few articles per day and submit them to the top article directories. If you can do this for a few weeks, your website will begin ranking high on Google. I know this sounds overwhelming, but it’s well worth the effort. Once your website is ranked high in the search engines, you will get lots of clicks on your affiliate links and start earning commissions.
