How To Advertise Using Affiliates Products on Your Website

How To Advertise Using Affiliates Products on Your Website

Your website is up and running and now your thoughts go toward how to make some money from it Most people have Google AdSense on their sites (no more than 3 block ads per page) and get the occasional click which earns them some income but there are many advertisers out there wanting you to advertise their products on your site.

We will say for example, you have a baby wear website and as you would probably be aware, most baby wear manufacturers and retail outlets will have their own websites promoting their goods. However, research has now proven that advertising, on similar topic sites, will greatly increase their revenue, so they are happy for you to be promoting their products.

How do you go about it? Well, I am pleased to tell you it is not as hard as you might be imagining. You do not have to surf the net, hour after hour looking for products to promote as they come to you via affiliate marketing websites. The commission payouts vary upon a sale but are shown before you accept to use this advertiser. These sites are many and varied but I will go through some of the common options.

Commission Junction - This company has many and varied advertisers. First you apply to the company to join and then to the respective advertisers you wish to promote. Some advertisers approve instantly, some take longer and some decline your application. Do not worry, as there are normally plenty more to apply for. The banner ads are all there, for you to choose from, with different size ads, so you are sure to find one you feel, will suit your website. Once you have picked one, you press the button to get your code, which you put in a text box in your widget area of your WordPress site.

ShareaSale -This is another popular one that works on a very similar platform to Commission Junction, nice and easy with banner ads provided.

ClickBank - This company generally has a higher payout than the others, but can be a little bit more technical in getting the ads. Some of the advertisers supply the ads just like the others, but with some you have to make the ads yourself. This is a good company, but you may want an easier option to start with.

Amazon - There is nothing Amazon does not sell, or so it seems. Amazon is an excellent starting place with many ways to sell their goods. They supply banner ads like the others, or widgets where you can have products continuously showing on your sidebar and even the option of making a store. They are very good at helping you do this with an excellent help section. The commission payouts for Amazon are tier based and increase with the amount of sales made per month.
