In a perfect world, Affiliate Marketing doesn't require product development, having a programer, dealing with refunds or even having a website. Using these tips with your program launch will result in your online business increasing your profits to double and sometimes three times higher commissions.

If you are already promoting an affiliate program, what is your plan to do next? Get more customers, increase your sales and commissions on a consistent basis? How would you do that?

Well first off you want to promote the best products within the best programs that fit your targeted niche, a program that also has a good commission and solid reputation for paying their affiliates. If these points I've outlined here don't increase your investment with more potential customers and or sales you need to move on toward a better program that meets this criteria. There are so many programs out there from reputable networks and new programs becoming available all the time so examine them closely to pick the best program offer.


Next you need to write some free reports or show ebooks that you will offer from your site. Do not place too much emphasis on "free", mention your free report once and establish a need for the customer to have it. Customers relate "free" with something that doesn't have value or worth. More often than not you will be competing with other affiliates offering the same promotion, so your goal should be to over deliver and give the most value to your customers. Your free reports should be related to the product you are promoting and this will help to separate you from the other affiliates. Your related reports and or ebooks will help to establish your credibility with your customers and they will be more likely to try the products you offer them.

Ever heard the experienced marketers mantra, "the power is in the list"? You want to capture your potential customers email addresses to build your list, these customers likely will not purchase anything on their first visit to your site. But capturing their email to your list every time a customer downloads your free offer allows you keep them engaged with your Auto-responder emails, then you build the likelihood of a purchase because you have established yourself with the customer. Fact is that many customer won't buy any of your products until you have contacted them six times or more, so have plenty of emails with good, related and useful content. Make sure you always collect the customer email to your list before they are sent to the sale landing page otherwise you may lose that customer forever.

Publish articles in an online newsletter or E-zine this also helps you to establish a relationship of trust with potential customers. People are more likely to buy something from someone they know than from a stranger. Your articles should always provide value with useful information customers may not find elsewhere and you get to build a base of people that recognize you for providing useful content to them. Again this leads you to more customers that will buy products from you.

Perform "split tests" with your Pay Per Click ads, have two or three slightly different ads by way of wording. This will allow you to capture the proper set up for your promotion that converts the best into sales for your products. Pay Per Click search engine ads are the most effective advertising you can do that will generate a small income for you. In my experience the more simple and straightforward advertising works the best. Do your research and look at the content of some Pay Per Click ads within your target niche, don't hesitate to ask your peers on the Affiliate Forums or even use similar content from the ads you researched in the search engines.
